CMO Sgr appointed Inquiry Officer to probe charges against dental surgeon

Srinagar, Oct 18  : The Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department on Wednesday appointed an inquiry officer to investigate the charges against Dental Surgeon Dr Sadaf Syed at Government Degree College (GDC) Srinagar.

According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Chief Medical Officer Srinagar has been designated as the inquiry officer in accordance with Rule 33(4) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956.

The order states, “In pursuance of Rule 33(4) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar as Inquiry Officer, to enquire into the charges framed against Dr Sadaf Syed, Dental Surgeon on inter-cadre deputation at Government Dental College Srinagar.”

The administrative officer of Government Dental College, Srinagar, will act as the Presenting Officer in the case, according to the order.

As per the directive, the Inquiry Officer shall complete the enquiry in terms of Circular No. 24-JK(GAD) of 2021 dated July 17, 2021, and submit the report to the department within a period of 30 days from the date of issuance of this order—(KNO)
