Classwork to remain suspended in all Higher Educational Institutions in Ladakh UT till April 30

Srinagar: The Government of Ladakh Union Territory on Wednesday ordered suspension of classwork / classroom activity in all the Higher Educational Institutions due to Covid-19 situation in the Union Territory.

An order issued by Secretary Higher Education Padma Angmo reads, “On the basis of the Covid-19 assessment, it is hereby ordered that the classroom teaching in all the higher educational institutions in Ladakh shall remain suspended till 30th April, 2021. The University/Colleges/Institutes shall resort to online classes during the period”.

“However, the University/Colleges/Institutes may decide to continue the on-going and forthcoming examinations as well as the laboratory work, research, internship etc requiring physical presence, with strict compliance of COVID protocols,” the order futher reads.
