Civilian critically injured in Pampore gunfight succumbs

Pampore: A civilian who was critically injured during the initial stage of the gunfight at Meej area in Pampore town of Pulwama district has succumbed to his injuries.

He has been identified as Abid Nabi, a resident of Pampore.

According to police official, he was critically injured when cordon was being laid and militants fired indiscriminately.

He was taken to SDH (Sub-District Hospital) for treatment where from doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Today morning he breathed his last.

Meanwhile another civilian namely Kifayat Ahmad who was also injured during initial stage of gunfight is undergoing treatment at Bone and Joint Hospital in Srinagar is stable.
