CIK arrested two with ‘brown sugar’ in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) apprehended two persons from Srinagar’s Batamaloo area on Tuesday morning and recovered brown sugar like substance from them.

Sources told that a team from CIK led by Inspector Sajad Ahmed after receiving specific input, intercepted a load carrier (JK02BG 2430) and after frisking the two persons on board including the driver recovered 800-gram brown sugar like substance.

The duo were arrested and have have been identified as Shakeel Sheikh and Kursheed sheikh, both resident of Batpora Dildar Karnah are of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The load carrier has also been seized. (KNT)
