Centre will have to surrender before will of J&K people: Muzaffar Shah
Meets with cross section of Jammu Civil Society
Jammu: Awami National Conference (ANC) Senior Vice President and head of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JKCSCC) for protection of Article 370/35A, Muzzafar Shah Friday held several meetings with prominent civil society faces and political leaders of Jammu region.
According to a statement issued to the news agency KNO, Shah held the meetings after a gap of more than 15 months with an aim to foster a statewide alliance for a united fight against the unconstitutional, illegal, arbitrary and illogical decision of the BJP government of abrogation of Article 370 on 5th August 2019.
Speaking to media persons in Jammu, Shah has reiterated the resolve of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) that not a single inch of land will be given to any outsider in the State of J&K and the central government will have no other choice but to surrender before the will of the people to restore the special status of J&K back to its inhabitants with respect & dignity.
He emphasized the basic reality of history that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is a pluralistic society and it cannot be broken into Union Territories and neither can its Constitutional realities and properties be wished away or bartered with in the name of Statehood.
“Today, the people of all three regions of the state feel cheated by the BJP & the youth in particular are venting their anger against the anti people policies being unleashed on a daily basis by the ruling dispensation at the Center,” he said.
Shah further said that he is hopeful of a very successful PAGD meeting scheduled for tomorrow which will chalk out the future plan on the political, legal, economic and social fronts and chalk out a common strategy to be adopted for fighting the anti-people policy of the BJP led central government.
