Centre approves transfer of Covaxin technology from Bharat Biotech to Hufkin Institute

New Delhi: Centre has approved the transfer of Covaxin technology from Bharat Biotech to Hufkin Institute.

Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, informed Maharashtra government that the approval has been given as per the recommendation of the committee of scientific experts for a period of one year.

The move will help Halfkin Bio-pharma Corporation to start production of Covaxin as soon as possible.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting his request and allowing Halfkin Institute to start large scale production of covaxine in the state
