Casual Employees in R&B Deptt without wages from two years
Srinagar, April 02: The Casual Employee’s Union (CEU) of R&B Division Kashmir on Thursday appealed authorities to release their pending wages which are stuck from last two years.
Employees told Kashmir News Service (KNS) over phone that they are facing tough times as the department has not releasing their salaries from last two years. They said employees are carrying out their duties regularly but the department has left their families in lurch.
President Casual Employee Union R&B Kashmir said the authorities have recently released the amount of Rs 10 lakh which is not enough as they need 73 lakh in salary account.
He said they have approached office of Chief Secretary for redressing the issue where employees were given assurance that their issue will be sorted out but so far not a singly penny has been released.
Vice president of the union said, “We too have families to feed them and children to study them but authorities have put the future of our children in trouble by not releasing the salaries.
They appealed Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu led administration to intervene in the matter and direct the concern authorities to release their salaries at an earliest.
