CAPACITY BUILDING TOUR TO AGRA AND DELHI

The Capacity Building Tour to Delhi and Agra, which was flagged off by the GOC Vajra Division on 25 August 2018, is presently touring in New Delhi. In the last three days, the touring team comprising of 20 college students from Kupwara District have had educative interactions and knowledge gaining experiences at various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
On 28 August, the participants of the tour interacted with GOC Delhi Area. The touring team visited Manekshaw Convention Centre and Harbaksh Stadium at Delhi Cantonment. At Harbaksh Stadium the participants witnessed the shooting range, the swimming pool and fitness center. The touring team had also visited Triveni Shopping Complex.
On 29 August, the team visited Maruti Udyog India Limited and Manesar Manufacturing Unit. Here the participants were given an insight into the production setup and a tour of various departments within the facility. Later in the day, the tour visited Airtel Network Operating Center and Airtel DTH Center located at Manesar. The college students from Kupwara District also visited the National Museum where they got a glimpse of rich historical and diverse cultural heritage of our country. The students were especially thrilled at the National Museum due to the immense educational value of our all inclusive history.
On 30 August 2018, the group has visited Lemon Tree Premier Hotel at New Delhi to learn about the aspects of human resource, house-keeping, catering, helpdesk & front-desk management systems. Later in the day, the group will be interacting with the senior Army officers at the South Block. Later, the touring team will be visiting the Facebook Office. The tour would witness our Sufi and inclusive culture when they will pay visit to Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah Sharif. Here they will interact with Imam Sahab and Khadims of the Great Sufi Saint.
The aim of the tour is to widen the scope of the participants on educational and industrial aspects. On the sidelines, the group is also witnessing historical monuments and famous places of tourist interest at Delhi and Agra. The flagging-in of the tour is scheduled in the first week of September 2018.
