Caddies Welfare Trust and PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir Join Forces to Transform the Lives of Caddies in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar Sep 03 : The Caddies Welfare Trust (CWT) and the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir have united to significantly improve the lives of caddies in the scenic region of Jammu & Kashmir through a warm-hearted partnership Their inaugural initiative, the distribution of warm sweaters to hardworking caddies at the Royal Spring Golf course, marked the beginning of a promising partnership.

 

This impactful event, made possible by the dedication of Maj (Retd) RS Bedi, Trustee of CWT, Mr. AP Vicky Shaw, Chairman of the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir, and Ms. Guneeta Duggal, Trustee of CWT, drew the attention of the golfing community and the general public alike.

 

Present at the distribution were Mr. Ajaz Reshi, Technical Manager at RSGC, and Mr. Qazi Fassi, Executive Supervisor at RSGC, adding their support to this noble cause.

 

The collaboration between CWT and the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir is not merely about distributing warm clothing but also about addressing the comprehensive welfare of caddies in Jammu & Kashmir. Recognizing the unique challenges these individuals face, both organizations have pledged to provide essential insurance coverage.

 

This safety net will offer peace of mind to caddies and their families during uncertain times.

Education is a cornerstone of this partnership, with scholarships earmarked for deserving caddy children. By supporting their academic dreams, CWT and the Chamber aim to open doors to brighter prospects for these young minds.

 

In addition to these remarkable initiatives, CWT and the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir will continue to organize welfare distributions to meet the immediate needs of caddies. These efforts are designed to ease some of the daily hardships faced by these dedicated individuals.

 

Skill development programs are also in the works, empowering caddies with additional means to secure their livelihoods. Training and guidance will equip them with valuable skills, enhancing their professional growth and financial stability.
