Budgam resident arrested for cheating students: Police

Srinagar, Jul 14  : A man, hailing from central Kashmir’s Budgam district, was on Friday arrested for allegedly cheating with students promising MBBS admission in Iran in lieu of payment.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Police said that a man, running educational consultancy ‘Dr Minds’ at parraypora arrested for cheating, forgery with students promising MBBS admission in Iran in lieu of payment.

“A fraudster Syed Abas shah S/o Syed Yousuf Shah R/o wahabpora Budgam running educational consultancy ‘Dr Minds’ at parraypora arrested for cheating/forgery with students promising MBBS admission in Iran in lieu of payment. FIR no. 65/2023 u/sections 468,420 of IPC in sadder PS,” Srinagar Police tweeted.

“Students got to know of cheating & forgery after landing in Tehran & spending months there without any admission even after paying in lakhs to this Fraudster. Public is requested not to fall prey to such fraudsters running consultanties and duping students, job aspirants etc,” police tweeted—(KNO)
