Budgam Police arrests drug peddler, contraband substance recovered
Budgam: Budgam Police in continuation to its war against drug menace have rrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Police in a statement said, Police Station Khag established a Naka at Sursh Crossing and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK04B-6503 with one person on board. 200 Grams Charas like substance recovered from his possession.
He has been identified as Abdul Majeed Parray @Afzal Son of Asadullah Parray, a resident of Ganastan Sumbal.
Preliminary investigation reveals that he was supplying drugs among the youth of area.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 77/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khag and investigation has been initiated, the statement added.
