BSF Personnel Killed in Firing Along IB: Officials
Srinagar, Nov 9: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was killed on border outposts (BoPs) along the International Border (IB) in the Samba district, on Thursday, officials said.
“Around12:20 AM Pakistan Rangers started firing at the Narayanpur post in Ramgarh Samba. BSF also retaliated and the firing between the two sides continued for some time,” they added.
Officials added that a head constable with BSF namely Lal Farnn Kima was injured and immediately shifted to Community Health Centre Hospital at Ramgarh. “After initial treatment, the injured soldier was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment. However, the soldier succumbed to the injuries on the way to the GMC.”
When contacted, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary confirmed to news agency GNS about the killing of the soldier.
