Brothers Donate Land Worth Crores to Jamiat Ahlihadith J&K

Srinagar, August 25: In a remarkable gesture of generosity, two brothers from Shar Shali, Pampore — Saif-ud-Din Hakak and Ghulam Rasool Hakak — have donated land worth crores to the Jamiat Ahlihadith Jammu & Kashmir.

The announcement was made yesterday during a large Islamic conference held in Srinagar, attended by scholars, community leaders, and thousands of participants from across the Valley. The contribution is being hailed as a noble step towards strengthening educational and religious institutions in Jammu & Kashmir.

Speaking at the conference, community leaders highlighted how such acts of philanthropy leave a lasting legacy, not only benefitting the present generation but also serving future ones. They stressed that the Hakak brothers’ decision reflects the timeless Islamic values of sacrifice, charity, and service to society.

Across history, land and wealth donations have played a vital role in building schools, mosques, and welfare centers. For example:

In early Islamic times, Waqf (charitable endowment) laid the foundation for public services such as education, water supply, and healthcare.

Closer home, several families in Kashmir have donated property and land in the past to establish schools and orphanages, ensuring thousands of children receive education and shelter.

The Hakak brothers’ donation is expected to pave the way for new initiatives under Jamiat Ahlihadith, including possible educational institutes, religious centers, or welfare projects that would benefit society at large.

Community members at the event praised the gesture, calling it an inspiration for others who are in a position to contribute. “This donation is not just about land — it is about vision, faith, and responsibility towards the community,” one speaker said.

The event concluded with prayers for the prosperity of the Hakak family and for the success of Jamiat Ahlihadith’s mission in Jammu & Kashmir.
