Brief Shootout In Srinagar Outskirts, Three Persons Arrested: Police
Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it have arrested three militant activist at Narbal near Noora Hospital in outskirts of Srinagar city.
Reports reaching GNS said that a car was signalled to stop by a Naka party at Narbal. The persons travelling in the vehicle fired upon the Naka party. The cops returned the fire triggering off a brief shootout.
SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that Naka has been established following specific information about the moment of militants.
As the car passed through the area, the security forces asked them it to stop but the persons travelling in the vehicle opened fire which resulted into a brief shootout.
In the incident one militant actvist has sustained bullet injuries and other two persons were overpowered by the cops and apprehended them.
The injured has been shifted to JVC hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered and further investigation taken up, the SSP said. (GNS)
