Body of teenager exhumed in Rajouri for autopsy
Rajouri, May 15: The body of a 19-year-old boy was exhumed on Friday in Rajouri for autopsy as part of investigation.
Police sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that boy identified as Shabir, son of Ramim Ahmed of Saranoo village died a week ago.
His family buried him at their ancestral graveyard, considering it natural death. However, after the matter came into notice of police, they became suspicious about cause of the death.
“On the orders of District Magistrate Rajouri, the body was exhumed today by a team of doctors for completing medico-legal formalities,” police sources said, adding that body has been exhumed after eight days of burial.
Dr. Javed Iqbal, Deputy Medical Superintendent of GMC Rajouri, who was also part of team of doctors said that body has been exhumed on the orders of District Magistrate.
