BJP internationalised Kashmir issue, says Owaisi; claims restoration of 4G was done under US pressure
New Delhi: Blasting the BJP for internationalising Kashmir issue, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that instead of taking an all-party delegation to J&K the saffron party is presenting its third report card to European diplomats.
Calling it “embarrassing”, Owaisi further claimed that 4G mobile Internet service in the Union Territory was restored after US pressure.
“It’s correct that foreigners shouldn’t interfere in internal matters but at every step, BJP has internationalised Kashmir issue while insisting otherwise. Instead of taking an all-party delegation to J&K BJP is presenting its 3rd report card to European diplomats,” said Owaisi in a tweet.
Restoration of 4G wasn’t an act of generosity
On January 5, J&K government announced the restoration of 4G mobile Internet services in the entire Union Territory.
“4G mobile Internet services being restored in entire J&K,” government spokesman Rohit Kansal said in a tweet.
The Hyderabad MP said that restoration of 4G wasn’t an act of generosity as it was done under US pressure.
“Our ambassador meets and gets lectured by US Rep Sherman who later issues a statement. Two days later 4G is restored,” he added.
Owaisi also said that Internationalising the issue will result in alienation and disempowerment of Kashmiris.
