Bharat Darshan Tour Wraps Up with Enthusiasm and Learning

Ganderbal, February 14 : The 13th Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) marked the culmination of its Bharat Darshan Tour with a vibrant closing ceremony held at its Unit HQ premises in Dignibal, Ganderbal District. The tour, which began on February 8, 2024, saw 25 local youths from the interior villages of the valley region embarking on a journey of exploration and cultural immersion.

Initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Bharat Darshan Tour aims to expose local youths from remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir to the diverse cultural tapestry of India. Starting from Srinagar, the participants journeyed through Jaipur and Delhi, delving into the historical monuments and vibrant heritage sites of the cities.

During the seven-day excursion, the participants not only visited iconic landmarks but also engaged in interactive sessions, including a meeting with the Director General of SSB and other senior officers at the Force Headquarters in New Delhi.

At the closing ceremony, participants shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to the SSB for meticulously organizing and facilitating the tour. Commandant Mukesh Singh Yadav of the 13th Bn SSB commended the participants for their enthusiasm and emphasized the transformative power of travel in fostering understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.

In his closing address, Commandant Yadav urged the youths to leverage their newfound knowledge to contribute to the development of society and the nation. As a token of appreciation, the SSB presented gifts and sweets to all the participants, symbolizing the bonds forged during the journey of discovery and learning.
