Bharat Darshan Tour: A Journey of Cultural Unity and Discovery
Shivpora, Srinagar – As part of the Civic Action Programme 2024-25, 61 BN CRPF organized a remarkable Bharat Darshan Tour to foster cultural awareness and inclusivity among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative aims to provide orphans of the region a unique opportunity to witness India’s vast cultural diversity and historical richness.
In collaboration with Yateem Trust, J&K, 17 students and one caretaker were selected to participate in this transformative journey. The flag-off ceremony, held at the unit headquarters in Shivpora, was graced by the presence of Sh. Sudhansu Shekhar, Commandant 61 BN, along with senior officers Sh. Manish (2-I/C), Sh. Virat (DC), and Sh. Saukat (S.O.). Sh. Mustaq, a trustee of Yateem Trust, also extended his support and enthusiasm during the event.
The ten-day tour will take the young participants to Ajmer and Jaipur, where they will immerse themselves in the historical and cultural marvels of India. The itinerary includes visits to iconic sites such as the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, and the City Palace.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Sudhansu Shekhar emphasized, “This tour is more than just a journey; it is an opportunity for these children to explore the beauty of India’s unity in diversity. It will broaden their perspectives and instill in them a progressive vision for the nation’s development.”
The program reflects the CRPF’s commitment to strengthening the bond with local communities through initiatives that empower and inspire the youth. As these young minds embark on this memorable journey, they carry with them hopes of a brighter future and a deeper appreciation for the cultural heritage that unites India.
