Bear Attacked And Injured A Women In South Kashmir

Qazigund: A wild bear attacked and Injured a woman in the South Kashmir’s Kund Qazigund of Kulgam district , official sources said.

The bear pounced on the Victim, identified as Gulshana Banoo , wife of Gulam Rasool Bhat, a resident of Razloo Qazigund and injured her.

According to Locals a bear attacked them when they were on way to an orchard in the Razloo village.

The victim has been shifted to local hospital for specialized treatment.

However, before the villagers could do anything, the bear attacked and wounded a woman. The wild animal later escaped back into the forest.

The man-animal conflict has recorded increase during the past few years because of human interference in the woods.
