Baramulla police arrests an active HM Militant

February 22: Police in Baramulla arrested an active terrorist operating in the area.

On a credible input, Police along with security forces established a checkpoint near Tapper Pattan. During checking police and security forces intercepted one individual identified as Junaid Farooq Pandit @Abu Talha resident of Hamray Pattan.

Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession. All these incriminating materials have been seized and taken into records by police in order to probe his complicity in other terror crimes.

According to the police records, he is an active terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM and was operating in the areas of Sopore and Baramulla.

Case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pattan. Further investigation in the matter is in progress.
