Bandipora: Patwaris defy DC’s order, reluctant to join new places of posting
Bandipora, May 9: Two Revenue Officers who have been transferred are reluctant to attend duties at their new places.
Both these Patwaris have flouted government orders and continue to perform their duties from their earlier Halqas.
District Development Commissioner Bandipora last month issued the transfer order of Patwaris from one Halqa to another in parts of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Patwaris posted at Shilvat and Sarie Dangerpora Halqas are reluctant to join the new places.
They said Irshad Ahamd Patwari Halqa Shilvat was transferred to Panchayat Halqa Madwan while as Ayaz Ahmad Patwari Halqa was transferred from Sarie Dangerpora Panchayat to Shilvat in place of Irshad Ahmed. Despite the formal transfer orders issued by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, both these Patwaris haven’t joined their new places of posting and still work from their older places.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sumbal, Bashir Ahmed Lone told KNT that he will see to it. “I don’t think such is the case. Let me check it,” he said. (KNT)
