Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsav MSK Kishtwar organises awareness Program at Palmar

KISHTWAR, APRIL 20: To spread awareness about women centric schemes, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women-Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Kishtwar today organised an awareness programme at Sonabatti Panchayat of Palmar.

The  awareness program was conducted under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and ongoing Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan. The camp was organised on the instruction of Deputy Commissioner  Ashok Sharma and under close supervision of Nodal officer MSK, Tariq Parveaz Qazi.

The MSK steam shared a detailed insight about Women Helpline, OSC, BBBP, Tejaswini, Mumkin, SSY, JSY, PMEGP etc – the schemes and initiatives meant for the empowerment of women.

The Women participants were also sensitised  about the menace of drug abuse, its affects on society and remedial measures thereof which include assessment of the extent of the problem, preventive action, treatment and rehabilitation of addicts.
