AYUSH distributes immunity boosters among frontline health workers at Pulwama
PULWAMA – The Department of Indian System of Medicines (AYUSH), Pulwama today organized a camp to distribute free medicines among Frontline health Workers at Mohmadiya Nursing Home Gangoo Pulwama.
The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Dr Baseer ul Haq Chowdary in Presence of Chief Medical Officer Dr Hasina Mir.
During the camp scores of medicine kits were given to the Medical and Para Medical staff so that they can protect themselves from the virus .
On the occasion, DC said Department of Ayush has initiated various measures to contain and prevent the spread of Covid 19 and are working as frontline workers to fight the pandemic and to strengthen the immunity of the masses and is distributing immunity booster medicines to so that people can protect themselves from virus by using these medicines.
While appreciating the Health officials ,DC said the graph of positive and death cases has been declined whereas recovery rate has also increased from 85 percent to 90 persent which is only because of tireless working of our Doctors, Medical and Para medical staff during prevailing situation.
He said DH Pulwama is the only hospital in valley where retention rate is 98 percent and only extreme cases are referred to other hospitals.
On the occasion, Medical Officer, Ayush, Dr Ali Mohammed Reshi said that Health Workers have a vital role in prevailing situation particularly during the Pandemic and these medicines will help in increasing immunity besides also improving strength and vitality.
It is pertinent to mention here that with the surge in COVID-19 cases, the hospital was declared as a COVID Care Hospital and all facilities including gynecology and pediatrics were shifted to Mohmadiya Nursing Home, where surgeries are conducted
