Awareness programme under BBBP held at Middle School Khanpora, Budgam

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 30: The District Hub for  Empowerment of Women under Mission Shakti in collaboration with the officials of One Stop Centre today organised an awareness camp at Khanpora Budgam under “Jan Abhiyaan” (My Town My Pride).

On the occasion, students of the school were given training,   regarding knitting, cutting, tailoring, painting, drawings to empower girl students besides to defend themselves, self defense training programme under the aegis of flagship Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme was also provided.

Gender Specialist put main emphasis on awareness on health and Nutrition (Legal-PC and PNDT Act 1994 and MTP Act and other women related legislation), Women Entrepreneurship Programme like PMEGP, Tejaswini, One Stop Centre, Skill Development Courses by SBI RSETI, PMKVY.

Apart from this, awareness was also imparted regarding documentation criteria, detailed procedure to avail the benefits under the different schemes and how the women can approach DHEW to get linkage under the different schemes.

At the end of the programme, pamphlets regarding various women centric schemes were also distributed.
