Asia Cup: Pakistan Collapse for 146, India Need 147 to Lift the Trophy
Pakistan suffered yet another batting collapse in the Asia Cup final, getting bundled out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs at Colombo. Despite a strong start from Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38, 5 fours, 3 sixes) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35, 2 fours, 2 sixes), the middle and lower order failed miserably against India’s spin attack.
After being comfortably placed at 84/1, Pakistan lost wickets in quick succession. From 126/3, the team collapsed to 146 all out, losing their last seven wickets for just 20 runs.
For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs, while Axar Patel (2/26) and Varun Chakaravarthy (2/30) provided excellent support. Jasprit Bumrah (2/25) wrapped up the tail in style.
Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha (8) and middle-order failed to capitalize, leaving the side in deep trouble.
With just 147 runs required, India now have a golden opportunity to seal the Asia Cup title.
