Arrangements at Eid Gah for Eid prayers cannot be made in short span of time: Wakf Board to Anjum Auquaf

Srinagar, April 30: Muslim Wakf Board Saturday communicated to Anjum Auquaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar that arrangements at Eid Gah cannot be made in a short span of time for offering of Eid prayers.

The Anjum Auquaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar has announced offering of Eid prayers at historic Eid Gah and has written to Wakf Board for making necessary arrangements. The communication from former to latter was made on 30 April, 2022.

“With reference to your letter over subject of Eid Prayers, the request for making necessary arrangement at Eidgah has been submitted very late,” reads the correspondence by Wakf Board to Anjum Auquaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar, a copy of which lies with ANN News.

“You are fully aware about the occasional heavy rains for last few days in valley, including Srinagar City, resulting whole area of Eidgah has becoming wet and muddy also. Weather forecast is also of scattered rain in coming days,” it adds.

“In view of above facts, it is impossible for us to make requisite arrangements at such short period. You are advised to ask followers to offer Prayers in covered spaces of local Masjids,” it reads.
