Army Organises 45 Days Free ‘Cutting And Tailoring Course’ In Anantnag

ANANTNAG — A Free ‘Cutting and tailoring course’ for girls was inaugurated at Larnoo camp by Commander 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.The aim is to empower women so as to make them independent and empowered.

In Larnoo remote village of Anantnag district Army’s Commander 2 sector RR, Brigadier AS Pundir SM, VSM inaugurated 45 days Tailoring and cutting course for Girls.

The programme has been aimed to empower and enhance women skills in rural area. Atleast 50 girls from local villages have enrolled themselves to take benefit from this program.

Brigadier AS Pundir interacted with the participating girls and other respectable persons in the program. Locals and participating Girls were found happy with the step taken by 19 RR SIKHLI and demanded for more such programmes in the area to boost the skills of youth.

The course was designed to teach basic cutting and tailoring to girls from poor background to enhance their skills.

The duration of the course is 45 days and at the end of the 45 days certificates along with the sewing machines would be given to all participants.

The programme was attended by many prominent personalities like DDC, Sarpanch, Panchs, principal higher secondary school Larnoo, MO PHC Larnoo and other personalities of the block.

Locals hail the efforts taken by Army for betterment of poorer people.
