Army Douses Fire Of Residential House, Prevented Mosque From Catching Fire In Pulwama
PULWAMA (KIMS) — The joint efforts of Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Service Department on Tuesday extinguished fire in a residential house and prevented damage to the nearby Mosque in Panzgam village of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.
Reports reaching Kashmir Independent Media Service – KIMS said that the fire broke out in the residential house of Fayaz Ahmad Lone, son of Late Abdul Ahad Lone of Panzgam village in the district on Tuesday afternoon which spread quickly thus engulfing the entire house.
Soon after the incident, the locals immediately notified Indian Army’s 55 RR Unit located in the vicinity about the fire incident after which the Army acted promptly and arrived on the spot and doused the fire, the said.
The Army provided first aid to the civilians and prevented a Mosque from catching fire, they added.
“The Army along with Fire and Emergency Service Department officials quickly took control of the situation and were able to douse the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to neighbouring homes,” an official said.
The locals have lauded the timely action by Army in preventing the damage.
“Army’s 55 RR acted swiftly and courageously to extinguish the fire and prevented further damage. Their efforts saved precious lives and ensured the safety of the community,” locals said. — (KIMS)
