Appeal for Peace and Restraint Amid Recent Developments

Srinagar, March 2 : The people of Kashmir share the grief and concern over recent developments in Iran. We fully respect every citizen’s right to express views, sorrow, and solidarity through peaceful, dignified, and lawful means.

However, reports of rioting, violent clashes, and public disorder across the Kashmir Valley are deeply troubling.

Such violence destroying property and confronting security forces serves no purpose. It only wounds our own communities, causing injuries, loss of life, movement restrictions, school closures, and hardship for families, traders, students, and daily wage earners.

We earnestly urge all sections of society youth, elders, women, religious leaders, and citizens to exercise utmost restraint. Refrain from rioting, violence, or provocative actions. Abide by police instructions to maintain law and order.

Police will take strict legal action against instigators and those violating the law. Authorities remain committed to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding lives and property.Let us choose peace for our Valley’s future.
