Apni Party to reverse decision of discontinuation of ‘Darbar Move’ if elected to power: Altaf Bukhari
Srinagar, Oct 24 : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Tuesday said that his led-party will reverse the decision of discontinuation of Darbar Move on priority basis if Apni Party elected to power.
Bukhari said, “Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party fully backs the legitimate demand of the people of Jammu seeking reversal of the decision regarding the discontinuation of the ‘Darbar Move’ decision. Let this be put on record that Apni Party will take this matter on priority once elected to power”.
Notably the age-old tradition of Darbar Move was nullified by present J&K dispensation led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, citing unnecessary burden on state exchequer. However the decision drew severe criticism from Jammuities who demand immediate restoration of this tradition. (KNS)
