ANN stands by its report; Mirwaiz issues statement after bombarded by handlers

Srinagar, Feb 10: After being bombarded by handlers, separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Wednesday said that he didn’t meet any group in New Delhi with a begging bowl.

The statement issued by Mirwaiz came a day after local news Tv Channel ANN News disclosed to its viewers that Kashmiri separatist leaders reached out to Delhi with a begging bowl and tendered unconditional apology for their past anti national  activities.

Mirwaiz had recently participated in a video conference organized by Pakistan based organization propagating anti-India sentiment across the globe.

At the same time, Kashmiri based news portals were in a race to publish and give wide publicity to the statement issued by Mirwaiz led Huriyat. Though these online portals and news agencies had not carried the news item about the meeting of separatist leaders with New Delhi political group.

Kashmir News Service, commonly known as KNS, was the first to make Mirwaiz’s statement viral and promote it on social media. The owner of KNS had recently called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar.

Sources said KNS is the same agency who was translating the press notes of some Hurriyat factions adding that the government has recently evacuated his government provided accommodation at Magarmal Bagh Srinagar.

Similarly, Current News Service, commonly known as CNS, also gave the wide publicity to Mirwaiz’s statement and its official social media handles.

The news about the meeting of separatist leaders with Delhi tendering apology was broke by ANN News and Kashmir Doc Com (KDC), a local News Agency in Srinagar. However, most of the media houses ignored the news item and preferred not to go against separatist leaders.

But most of news agencies and online news portals in Kashmir began to break and give wide publicity to the statement of Mirwaiz on Wednesday evening.

“Anti-national news agencies and online news portals promoted and gave wide publicity to the statement of Mirwaiz must be given state award for being anti-nationals.  All we need is to revive militancy and separatism in Kashmir,” said a professor of Kashmir University of Kashmir.

The youngsters also reacted to the race of news agencies and online news portals on social media, writing: “Do all these news agencies and online news portals find no space to expose separatist leaders. But they are free to promote those who are responsible for death and destruction in Kashmir. Do these news agencies and news portals want youngsters to join militancy?”

ANN stands by its report that separatists leaders have met with group in New Delhi in January 2021 and tendered apology for their past anti-national activities. The Kashmir based leaders who met politicians with begging bowls are those who are already in on radar of investigations agencies.

These separatist leaders had left from Srinagar in the last week of first week of January 2021 in Go Air flight in the morning and held a few meetings in New Delhi in the first week of January 2021.

ANN News is going to telecast the whole conversation of these separatist leaders who met Delhi in the month of January in next episode as more meetings are likely to be held in coming days.

ANN News will also disclose more videos and expose separatist leaders along with HD videos who had sent their relatives for MBBS in Pakistan.
