ANN News’ Exit Poll Predictions Reflect Growing Accuracy in J&K Elections
Srinagar: ANN News — Kashmir’s first and only own Tv news channel — has solidified its reputation as a reliable source for political analysis by delivering highly accurate exit poll predictions during the recent Jammu and Kashmir elections.
While many major exit polls forecasted a victory for Apni Party Chief in Chanapora, it was ANN News that accurately predicted his defeat to National Conference’s Mushtaq Guru, a result that resonated with the actual outcome.
ANN’s detailed exit poll analysis also foresaw a clean sweep by the National Conference in Srinagar and Budgam, and correctly predicted the defeat of Iltija Mufti in Bijbehra.
These forecasts stood out as ANN News captured key electoral dynamics, setting it apart from other media outlets.
Furthermore, the channel’s predictions for Jammu division and other districts of Kashmir were approximately 98 percent accurate, showcasing ANN’s deep understanding of voter sentiment across the region.
This accuracy extended to the broader electoral picture, where ANN forecasted the National Conference-Congress alliance securing between 48 and 55 seats, with National Conference alone crossing the 40-seat threshold.
The final results, with the alliance winning 49 seats, closely aligned with ANN’s projections.
