Anantnag Traders Held A Protest Against Revoking Of Article 35A

Anantnag: Amid rising sense of unease ahead of the hearing in the Supreme Court on August 6, Traders Association, Anantnag held a protest demonstration today at Lal Chowk, Anantnag against the attempt to revoke Article 35A.

Hundreds of shopkeepers participated in the protest demonstration.

They were holding placards & were raising slogans against the revoking of Article 35A.

Later, they marched from Lal Chowk towards Mehandi Kadal and Court Road.

The protesting members said that the attack on 35A will have devastating results, besides it would reopen the question of state’s accession with the union of India and would invalidate the constitutional bridge between the state and Indian union.

They said that the state subject law has to be protected at any cost and no tampering with this law would be tolerated.
