Anantnag Man’s Death: Accused arrested, further probe on, Say police
Anantnag, Jan 31 The Anantnag police have arrested the accused chemist for allegedly giving giving high dose injection to a man leading to his death in Janlatmandi area of Anantnag district on Monday.
In a statement, a spokesperson said Police Post Janglatmandi Anantnag had received an application on 27 January from Aadil Ahmad Bhat S/O Gh Nabi Bhat R/O Deva Colony Anantnag, stated that his brother namely Irfan Ahmad Bhat was feeling throat irritation.
“Accordingly, he approached a medical shop Rehmani Medical Chamber, who had injected him injections without test dose. He developed some complications and was brought to GMC Ananthnag where doctors declared him brought dead,” reads the statement.
It reads the death was caused by the negligence of medical shopkeeper namely Ubaid Ulla Rehmani S/O Ab Aziz Rehmani R/O Green Colony Janglatmandi Anantnag.
“On recieving this application, case FIR No. 44/2023 Under Relevant sections stands registered at P/S Anantnag and investigation was initiated,” it reads.
It further reads the Police team visited the scene of crime, seized the used injections for Forensic Analysis, got medico-legal formalities completed and has collected further evidence.
“The accused person was arrested and is on Police remand and further investigation is going on,” it reads. (KNS)
