Anantnag Attack: Police Version
June 12: Militants carried out a stand-off firing attack at K.P Road in District Anantnag at about 1650 hours today.
In this terror incident, 05 CRPF personnel killed while repulsing the said terror attack. Further in this incident 03 security force personnel including SHO Anantnag Inspector Arshid Khan sustained gunshot injuries. In the retaliatory action, the militant was gunned down on the spot. From the materials recovered, it is found that the dead militant was a foreigner.
The injured security force personnel have been evacuated to hospital and are undergoing medical treatment for their injuries.
The area has been cordoned and search in the area is going on. Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation is in progress.
