Amid fresh snowfall, DC Shopian tours tehsil Kellar

Shopian: Amid fresh snowfall, DC Shopian Shrikant Suse today conducted extensive tour of tehsil Kellar and participated in Block Diwas which was held at tehsil office Kellar.

Various delegation, individuals put forth various issues of public importance during block diwas like issuance of various certificates, improvement of health services, strengthening institutional infrastructure of various offices in tehsil Kellar,road connectivity,water and power supply etc.

Deputy Commissioner gave patient hearing to all the grievances & issues raised public and issued on spot directions to concerned departments to resolve them at earliest.

On occasion, various certificates like Domicile, ST etc. were also distributed by the DDC among the beneficiaries. DDC also enquired about the pendency applications regarding issuance of ST certificates and directed Tehsildar Kellar to dispose of all application within the shortest possible time frame.

The programme was attended by officers and officials of line departments. Besides a large number of people from various villages, members from civil society participated.

Earlier, in the day DDC visited SDH Keller. He inspected various wards and also interacted with the patients as well as attendants and enquired about treatment provided to them.DDC issued strict directions for cleanliness, heating arrangements, display of charges regarding various diagnostic services provided at hospital, implementation of COVID-19 SOPs.

DDC directed Chief Medical Officer Shopian for keeping the doctors and the staff available round the clock so that the people of the area may not feel any kind of inconvenience.

Later DDC visited Kellar market and took stock of snow lifting and clearance of roads.
