Srinagar, Sep 28 : Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCC&I) president, Sheikh Ashiq on Wednesday said that the KCC&I has always raised business related issues of Kashmir instead of doing any politics.
“From some days we are being accused that whenever our members meet the Prime Minister, we make some conspiracy against apple trade which is completely wrong,” the KCC&I president said while addressing press conference here at Srinagar. “We have always raised the business issues of Kashmir with the Prime Minister instead of doing any politics,” he said.
“Since last ten years I’m connected socially and economically with KCC&I and whatever work we have done so far people know it. When Article 370 was abrogated in 2019, everyone was afraid to speak, but we still highlighted business issues,” he said, adding that at that time also we made a business loss report and shared it with the government and then the revival measures were taken on that basis.
“Our elections have been stalled for some time now and we are making progress on that too. We have represent trade at all levels nothing can happen without it because it’s our primary responsibility,” he said, adding that for the last three years they are fighting for the revival.(KNS)
