Al-Badr’s hybrid militant arrested in Awantipora: Police
Srinagar, Jul 07 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a hybrid militant associated with Al-Badr in Awantipora and recovered arms & ammunition from his possession.
“On a specific information regarding movement of militants in Beigund, Awantipora, Police alongwith Army (42RR) & CRPF (130Bn) established a joint checkpoint in the said area. During checking, one hybrid militant identified as Aamir Ahmed Parray son of Abdul Rashid Parray resident of Kashwa Chitragam, Shopian, linked with Al-Badr was arrested,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He said that incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including a pistol and 4 pistol rounds were recovered from his possession, adding that in this connection, a case under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation has been initiated—(KNO)
