Al-Badr Militant slain in tral gunfight
Tral: A militant was killed in a gunfight that broke out between government forces and militants at Machoma area in Tral township of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.
The slain militant has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar from Gadikal Awantipora. He was affiliated with Al-Badr militant outfit.
Earlier, government forces including Army’s 42 RR and J&K Police had launched a cordon and search operation in Machoma area following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, arms and ammunition has been recovered from encounter site and search operation is underway.
