Akhnoor Civil Defence concludes 5 day CD training in Border Area
JAMMU, MAY 30: Civil Defence, Akhnoor today concluded 5 day CD Training in the border village Gigrial of Block Khour.
The Training started on May 25, 2022 under the supervision of Dy. SP. Anita Pawar- the Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu.
Around 50 civilians including Panchs of the border area attended the training programme and learned about causality evacuation (zig zag movement) lifting and moving an injured person, how to escape from enemy’s fire, tactical movement i.e zigzag crawling etc. w
Basic knowledge on First Aid & Fire Fighting, and life saving techniques was also given to the participants with demonstrations.
Speaking at the valedictory session, Dy SP Anita Pawar highlighted the role of Civil Defence and importance of the basic training.
As per the directions of Commandant General VHG, CD & SDRF, J&K regarding formation of the Civil Defence Committees in the border villages, 21 members were nominated for Civil Defence Committee.
Besides others, Sham Lal Sarpanch Gigrial Panchayat; Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden CD Jammu; Vijay Magorta Dy. Chief Warden CD Jammu;. Kuldeep Kour Divisional Warden CD Akhnoor and a large number of residents of the area were also present.
