Afghans in Europe Distressed as Taliban Shuts Down Internet, Mobile Services in Afghanistan
Kabul/Paris/Brussels – Afghan citizens living in Europe have expressed deep concern after the Taliban authorities suspended internet and mobile phone services across Afghanistan.
Afghans residing in Paris and Brussels told reporters that since Saturday they have been unable to establish any contact with their families back home. The disruption has left many in fear and uncertainty about the safety of their loved ones, as communication lines remain completely cut off.
The Taliban has not issued any official statement regarding the duration or reasons behind the suspension of services. However, rights groups have warned that the move could further isolate Afghan citizens and deepen the ongoing humanitarian and security crisis.
