Advisor Farooq Khan participates in Hearth Millan of YAIKS
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 20: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today participated in ‘Hearth Millan’ organised by Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) at Surya Bhawan here.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Farooq Khan said that Hearath is an important festival which symbolises the composite culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
Advisor Khan said that Kashmiri culture is a blend of mixed traditions beautifully nurtured by Kashmiri Pandits and the community is an epitome of Kashmiriyat. He appreciated the community for upholding the brotherhood to the best of the standards.
President YAIKS in his address said that the theme of this Milian is to reconnect the Kashmiri Pandit Community to their lost roots and for the peace and harmony in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the brotherhood and love is the only solution and way how to come out from the present situations being faced by the community for last three decades
On the occasion, Late Ajay Pandita Bharti, P N Tikoo (Superintendent of Police) and Dr. Deepali Wattal were awarded with “Gash Tarok. Award 2022 for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.
During the millan, eminent singers of J&K like Wahed Jeelani, Dr. Deepali Wattal, Vishal Pandit and some other talented singers and artists like Bhumika Raina, Avaapya, Advit Kak, Ronika Riti and other mesmerized the audiences with their soulful voices.
Various distinguished personalities like Prof. Rattan Lal Hangroo, former Vice Chancellor, Prof A N Sadhu, Justice B L Saraf, Dr. Ayash Aarisf – Actor / Director, Sh. Shabir Mujahid – Ex Director DDK Jammu / Srinagar. Sh. Qazi Arnmaar – well known of DDK Srinagar and latge number of Kashmiri Pandit brethren also participated in ‘Hearth Millan’.
