Absconder involved in arms act case arrested after 25 yrs in Baramulla: Police
Baramulla, July 23: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that it has arrested an absconder after twenty five years in arms act case registered against him Police station Baramulla.
Police in a statement said “Baramulla Police under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by Inspr. Syed Showkat Ahmad, SHO PS Baramulla arrested 01 absconder namely Bashir Ahmad Lone S/O Mohd Maqbool Lone resident of Khadniyar, District Baramulla absconder, who was evading arrest in case FIR No. 34 of 1997 u/s 7/25 I A Act of Police Station Baramulla. The absconder was immediately produced before Hon’ble Court where from he was shifted to jail.
They said that On 16/02/1997, case FIR No. 34 of 1997 u/s 7/25 I A Act of Police Station Baramulla came to be registered against 02 accused including said absconder on the recovery of 04 Chinese Hand Grenades at Bus Stand Baramulla.
The instant case was challaned against accused before Court on 06/03/1997. During the trial the said accused was declared as absconder by the Court, the statement added. (KDC)
