Abhay Express concern over rise in Covid-19 cases in J&K
JAMMU: State Youth General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Abhay Bakaya on Monday expressed grave concerns over the exponential spike in Covid cases in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), Abhay appealed to the people to follow the precautionary guidelines and requisite SOPs strictly in order to contain the spread of this pandemic
“The lockdown guidelines laid down by the Government must be observed in letter and spirit for our own safety as the second wave of Covid-19 is proving more virulent and fatal than the first one.
Abhay also appealed to the UT administration to make extensive arrangements of beds and oxygen concentrators along with ventilators in the hospitals to diligently handle the emergency cases,” he remarked.
He further appealed to youth across J&K to come forward in these pressing times and discharge their assigned role by helping the poor and needy people.
He also said that the battle with this disease is a defensive one that needs observing hygiene, wearing triple-layered masks and getting a vaccination jab.
“My appeal to the people is to wear masks, frequently use sanitizers and maintain proper social distancing as well avoid visiting crowded places so that chain of infection is broken and further loss of precious lives is halted,” he said.
He furthermore thanked the Central Government for bringing down the inoculation age bar to 18+ and urged the youth to get vaccinated which is to begin from May 1st across the country. (KNS)
