Leopard Cub Caught Alive By Rajouri Man
Rajouri: A leopard cub was Tuesday morning caught alive by a man in Gurdan Chawa village of Rajouri after the animal tried to attack him.
Mohammad Showket, a resident of Gurdan Chawa village of the district, said that he went to the well in the morning hours to take bath when a leopard cub hiding in bushes attacked him.
“There is no house in the vicinity when the cub attacked me, however, I managed to overpower the cub and caught him,” he said.
Later, the animal was brought to wild life station Rajouri and was handed over to the officials.
A senior wildlife officer told Greater Kashmir that cub is still a suckling but has grown to an extent that it can attack other animals or humans.
He said that the leopard cub will be soon shifted to its natural habitat.
