Minor injured in stray dog attack at Prang Kangan
“Fourth such incident in district”

Ganderbal: A minor was injured after stray dogs attacked him at Prang Kangan of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
Family sources said, Aqib Ahmad sheikh, a 2-year old boy was attacked by stray dogs on Saturday morning. His family members and locals who were passing at the time of incident, somehow managed to rescue the boy and shifted him to Sub district hospital Kangan, where from he was shifted to SKIMS soura for further treatment.
Locals talking to this reporter said “We have informed several times the authorities that vehicles belonging to Srinagar Municipal councils unload stray dogs in the area with the result, the stray dog population has increased to manifold. The incidents of frequent attack by these stray dogs on humans is result of that,”.
It’s pertinent to mention here that this is the fourth such incident in the district in past two months.
Earlier this year dozens of sheep were killed at Gund and Lar tehsil of District Ganderbal were killed and many injured in stray dog’s attack.
People have appealed district administration to look into the matter.(ANN)
