Srigufwara Gunfight: 2 Civilians, 2 Armymen Injured
Anantnag, Jun 22: Two civilians and two army men were injured in an encounter between militants and government forces in Srigufwara village of south Kashmir ’s Islamabad district.
Sources said that a Lady identified as Rafeeqa and her husband Mohammad Yousuf of Srigufwara were injured a during gunfight.
They said that Rafiqa received bullet injury and has been shifted to district hospital Islamabad for treatment and her husband Mohammad Yousuf reportedly received bullet injury in his leg and has also been referred to hospital.
Meanwhile, two army men of 3 RR were also injured during an encounter and has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
The encounter started early morning in Srigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district between government forces and militants.
As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
It’s pertinent to mention that this is the second encounter after the suspension of a ceasefire and the first encounter after a governor’s rule in the Jammu and Kashmir.
