Azad grieved over loss of lives in Doda road accident

Srinagar Oct 28: Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of J&K, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday expressed grief on the loss of life in the tragic road accident near Sujwari Doda wherein a mini bus carrying commuters from Thatri to Doda skidded off the road and fell into a gorge more than 200 meters deep.

In a statement, Azad demanded adequate compensation for the family members of those deceased and proper medical attention to those who are injured.

The former CM further alleged “traffic mismanagement on the particular road saying it has claimed many precious lives in the past as well.

“I am sure the UT authorities will press all available resources into action and take immediate remedial measures. My heart goes out for those who lost their loved ones. Injured should be given immediate medical attention,” he added. GK
