Shopian gunfight: Slain militant was District Commander of LeT, says IGP

‘He was involved in killing of non-local carpenter’

Srinagar, Oct 20: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Wednesday said that one among the slain militant killed in Shopian gunfight was identified as District Commander Shopian of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

Police quoted the IGP as saying that the slain militant Adil Wani was involved in killing of non-local carpenter Sakir Ahmad Wani of Uttar Pradesh.
