Encounter Breaks Out In Srinagar

Srinagar: Encounter started between government forces and militants at Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar city this morning.

Reports said government forces had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation in Fateh Kadal following the specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.

As soon as government forces reached the spot, hiding militants fired upon them which triggered encounter.

Reports said two militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Firing is going on from both sides.

Meanwhile, authorities snapped down internet services in Srinagar as a precautionary measure.
